11 MARCH 2020 - 15 ADAR 5780 Dear Community Member In order to keep the community informed, please see the below list of recent and relevant Kosher alerts as well as other Kosher information. Kosher Updates Pesach When travelling over Pesach, the airline food may not be Kosher For Passover (KFP) as the airlines may be using frozen meals and one should prepare accordingly. New Kosher Products Canderel Granolas "no added sugar cereal" - Original is kosher parev and requires a BD logo. The following Clover Lactose-Free Yoghurts are kosher dairy and require a BD logo. The following Earthshine products are kosher parev, with or without a logo. Ina Paarmans Apricot Masala & Quince Marinade is kosher parev and requires a BD logo. The following KAUAI / PNP Livewell Smoothies are kosher parev and require a BD logo. Musgrave Original Botanical 11 Gin 50ml, 200ml, 700ml and 750ml produced and bottled in SA, is kosher parev and requires a BD logo. The Following Nutrifood pro kosher are kosher parev, with or without a logo. The following PNP Garlic products are kosher parev and require a BD logo. The following Woolworths Mueslis are kosher dairy and require a BD logo. The following Woolworths marinades are kosher parev and require a BD logo. The following Wellness Warehouse Activated Granolas are kosher parev and require a BD logo. Kosher Alerts Summary Dewfresh Fruiticool drinks are incorrectly labelled parev, these products are in fact dairy. Fiestas Tomato Salsa Flavoured Tortilla Style Corn Chips are incorrectly labelled Dairy. This product is in fact parev. The following Future Life Whole Grain Granola Bars are incorrectly labelled dairy, they are in fact parev: Some sizes of the following Jungle Mueslis are incorrectly labelled dairy, they are in fact parev: Lifestyle Foods Whey Powder has the BD logo but there is no indicator of dairy or parev, this product is dairy. The Tantalize Milky Mix is incorrectly labelled parev, it is in fact dairy. The Kitchen chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, butterscotch and caramel puddings are incorrectly labelled parev, they are in fact dairy. Some of the labelling errors highlighted above do occur from time to time as manufacturers are constantly developing new products or packaging. Unfortunately due to tight deadlines or honest mistakes they occasionally print their labels before checking with us. When we are made aware of such errors, we bring it to the manufacturers' attention in order to make the necessary corrections and we notify the community immediately.
