24 MARCH 2021 - 11 NISSAN 5781 Dear Community Member, A Pesach program being run at the Beacon Isle hotel in Plett was advertised as being certified under our hechser. Please be advised that the caterer is not certified under BD Kosher. The program was advertised prior to a kashrut license being issued. We have been engaging with the caterer for over a week to resolve the outstanding Kashrut issues and to enable those community members who have bookings to enjoy a kosher Pesach. The caterer is unwilling to comply with the Kashrut standards to have qualified mashgichim supervise the production as is required by our Beth Din and is the globally accepted practice. As such, unfortunately no responsibility can be taken for the integrity of the Kashrut standards being applied. Sincerely, ******************************************
