Kosher Updates If a store is not listed on our website as a kosher establishment, when buying from there, make sure to check for reliable kosher logos on food products. If you are unsure if the logo is reliable or not, send a picture to Kosher Desk on 063 693 9417 for confirmation. New Kosher Products The following Frozen Drinks Africa are kosher, parev, with or without a BD logo. Fitch and Leedes Grapefruit Tonic, is kosher parev, with or without a logo. Nature’s Choice yeast range is kosher parev, with or without a logo. Woolworths vegan cheese range is now kosher parev, and requires a logo. Woolworths vegan nut milk range is now kosher parev, and requires a logo. Kosher Alerts Summary Dairymaid Mega ice creams are incorrectly labelled parev, they are in fact dairy. Flour made by Eureka Mills is incorrectly marked as dairy, it is in fact parev. The following Heartland foods Oatsli Clusters are erroneously labelled parev, they are is in fact dairy: The following Jungle Mueslis are erroneously labelled parev, they are is in fact dairy: Some sizes of the following Jungle Mueslis are erroneously labelled dairy, they are in fact parev: Jungle Oatso easy original flavour is erroneously labelled dairy, it is in fact parev. Kayleys pink and white marshmallows are erroneously labelled dairy, they are in fact parev. Cape Town BD has informed us that due to the addition of new products being made at the factory, the Melba Toasts under the Pick ‘n Pay, the MTC and the Woolworths labels are no longer under Beth Din supervision. Only those existing stocks of any of these Melba Toasts bearing the Beth Din parev logo are kosher, but must be regarded as dairy. Some of the labelling errors highlighted above do occur from time to time as manufacturers are constantly developing new products or packaging. Unfortunately due to tight deadlines or honest mistakes they occasionally print their labels before checking with us. When we are made aware of such errors, we bring it to the manufacturers' attention in order to make the necessary corrections and we notify the community immediately.
